The Pourfinder app

Find something
worth drinking.

Pourfinder is a craft beer app for people who care which beer it is. Search by beer, style or what is nearby, see what a venue has actually confirmed, and follow the breweries whose next one you would like to catch.

What it does

Built for beer, not adapted to it.

Six things the app is for. None of them is a feed.

Search the way you actually think

By a beer you have heard of, by a style you fancy, or by what is near you right now. The catalogue knows the difference between a NEIPA and a mild, because it was built for beer rather than adapted to it.

See who has it on — and when they said so

A venue confirming its own list is the strongest signal there is, and the app shows you when that happened. A brewery saying it delivered somewhere is a weaker one, and it is labelled differently rather than quietly blended in.

Follow the breweries you like

Hear when a release is coming, not a week after it sold out. Register interest in a specific beer and get told when it lands.

Find the places, not just the pints

Opening hours, how to get there, what else is on. The bottle shop two streets away that you would never have found otherwise.

Events worth going to

Tastings, tap takeovers, meet-the-brewer nights — from venues near you and breweries you follow.

Keep track of what you have had

Check in, keep a history and build a picture of what you like, so the recommendations get better instead of louder.

The rule the whole thing rests on

Confirmed, likely, and the difference between them.

Beer availability goes stale faster than anything else on a pub's website, and a listing that pretends otherwise is worse than no listing.

Confirmed by the venue means the venue itself said the beer is on, and the app shows you when. That is the strongest thing we can tell you, and it is still worth ringing ahead for the last one.

Likely stocked means something weaker — usually that a brewery recorded a delivery. It is shown as what it is, it expires, and a venue's own update overrides it immediately. We would rather tell you less and have you believe it.

Where the app is up to

Pourfinder is pre-launch and not yet in the app stores. That is the window we are working to, not a guaranteed date. We would rather arrive with something finished. If you want to be told when it opens, or you run a brewery or venue and want to be on it when it does, the quickest route is a message.

Pourfinder is for over-18s and asks your date of birth before showing anything about alcohol.

Next step

Run a brewery or a venue?

This is the side of Pourfinder your customers see. The other side is yours — and it is where what they see comes from.
